The Steadings Gallery, Glengormintings by Derek Robertson
“Somewhere to Savour”
Derek is exhibiting a permanent exhibition of his work at the Steadings Gallery in the beautiful setting of Glengorm on the Island of Mull. His paintings and prints will be on display throughout the year and the exhibition will be regularly updated to reflect the changing seasons and to include Derek’s latest paintings.
Derek spends much of his time sketching and painting on Mull and his beautiful depictions of the island’s wildlife and landscape will be the centrepiece of the gallery. You will be able to see his work in progress, from sketches to finished compositions and, from time to time, Derek will be working on paintings in the gallery itself.
Just a few miles from Tobermory, the gallery is situated just upstairs from the popular Glengorm Coffee Shop and Cafe and set in beautiful countryside with walks through woods and castle gardens and along the shore to historic stone circles and iron-age forts. The area is rich in wildlife and Mull is renowned for viewing seabirds, seals and dolphins, otters, sea eagles and deer; all of which feature in Derek’s painting. A quiet, beautiful and romantic corner of the island, Glengorm is somewhere to savour.
