Work in Progress of Artist Derek Robertson

I am working on a series of wildlife paintings in watercolour and gouache on linen. These include ducks, waders and grouse but I have just finished some compositions of otters underwater which were a lot of fun and I plan to return to that theme again soon. I also have a few smaller paintings of curlews, puffins and garden birds on the drawing board just now plus some sketches of landscapes in Romania and Spitzbergen that I did in the summer and which I look forward to working on when time allows. I will be doing some outdoor landscape paintings of Aberdeenshire when the weather gets a little warmer and some paintings of the Hebrides for a show in skye later this year.  Have a look at the exhibitions listings for venues and dates.
